Just in case some of you don't know and it happens that you think of poking me in the next week.

I am going into surgery on Monday (to get out the metal implants that were put in last year when I broke my ankle - nothing urgent or painful right now!) and will likely be offline until about Friday. I am not going to bring any computers to the hospital (after my phones were stolen last year, I don't dare), so the most you'll hear from me during that time will be a random update over twitter. (I can update twitter, but I do not receive any kinds of replies, so I won't be able to answer any questions until I'm online.)

So, keep your fingers crossed. By all accounts, this should be easy and simple, it just needs done.

I will probably be responsive until about sometime on Monday morning my time (Sunday evening/night for those of you in the US). (Since I will be able to catch up on all the sleep... yeah.)

... so, apparently April 11, 2012 was the date when the Universe decided to give people (or at least me?) a little bit of a break. Not a full one, mind, but just a little bit of sanity and love. Details are various and sundry and include political, juridical, and other little things which possibly help a little with the sanity/believing in humanity; also this, which filled up in way less than 24 hours (and thank you to those who wrote about me <3). And now I woke up to an e-mail from the boss that we can take the rest of the week off.

For a quartet of people who have worked 28 or 29 days of the last 30, at an average of over 12 hours a day? This is a very nice thing to wake up to.


Also, with apologies, BELATED happy birthday to mbernardi - not forgotten, but yesterday was, in a word, nuts. But I hope you had a glorious day!

Well. Last week was grueling. Even though it was short. And not really all that bad for me, not really? But it seems stressful (and sad, and even horrible) things happened to a lot of my friends, and it's taking a toll. If you're among the group, my thoughts are with you, even if I didn't necessarily find words for it.

Of course, I didn't get a start on the March fic requests. I will be catching up with them, after WBB.

On the UPSIDE, a three-day weekend does make a difference and I am actually feeling fresh, even if I have a LOAD of work to do. And then there will be OUaT and writing.

Also, probably Saturday, there will be John Carter. Mmm, delicious movie.

It is the Sunday on which, traditionally, people in my country ask forgiveness of each other.

I think it is an important thing, forgiveness. It's not an easy thing for me to forget things, so I can remember hurts and upsets for a long time - but I can forgive. And it makes my world just a little easier than otherwise. We all sometimes end up hurting each other, intentionally and not.

So, yeah.

Forgive me if I have hurt you, by deed or word.

Tomorrow, apparently, I'm working, to be taken off next Friday.

The latter part is good. The former... it makes sense (since the boss is really only here briefly) buuuut I was looking forward to sleeping through - and writing through - tomorrow.

I ended up falling for yet another fictional character. Blade in the process of turning Warrior? Something like that. Sob sob, I didn't mean to but apparently such are things. (And yes, I'm talking Bucky. Because.)
